Why preserved plants decor feels different from artificial plants

At first glance, preserved plants and artificial ones can seem similar. Both don’t need care. Both stay the same. But they don’t feel the same way in space.

Artificial plants are made to imitate. Preserved plants are real, just stopped in time. You can see it in the texture itself. How the light falls on the surface. In small irregularities.

Up close, the difference becomes even clearer. Preserved plants are simply real plants, so their structure feels organic and natural. Artificial ones are made from plastic or similar materials, and even if they look good from a distance, that difference shows when you get closer.

These details are subtle, but they change the whole impression. In calmer interiors, this difference becomes more visible. The objects don’t seek to stand out, but they don’t disappear either. They just sit there, naturally.

And that’s usually the point.
